220x53 Honyaki

4000,00 kr

When buying one of these you are getting one randomly from the batch of ten knives I made.
They are all the same specs and material, with slight variations in handle color and the Harmon shape.

Honyaki is a style of knife, made by coating the spine with clay or other insulating material so as to isolate it during the hardening process.
The end result is a "soft" spine with a super hard (64hrc in this case) edge, as shown by the wavy white Hamon that separates them.
It is mostly for aesthetic reasons and the blade needs to be taken care of with the same attention as any other high carbon steel knife.

The handles are made out of European walnut with a brass bolster.

A very nimble knife that I would love to use myself all day, every day.
